X-UP Builder Basics

This chapter describes the X-UP Builder installation, uninstallation, and update function.

X-UP Builder Installation and Uninstallation

This section describes the X-UP Builder installation and uninstallation procedures. Based on Eclipse and running on a Java 5.0 (or later) environment, X-UP Builder provides an integrated environment for developing and testing X-UP models.

X-UP Builder Installation File Types

X-UP Builder Install (32-bit)

X-UP Builder installation file for 32-bit operating systems.

X-UP Builder Install (64-bit)

X-UP Builder installation file for 64-bit operating systems.

The system requirements for an X-UP Builder installation are as follows:

Installation

This section describes the installation of X-UP Builder, the X-UP development tool. This manual will guide you through the installation procedure for the 64-bit version of X-UP Builder on Windows 7.

  1. Run the installation file X-UP_Builder_1.3.2_install_64bit_vXXX.exe.

Must be run from an English-only folder.

  1. Verify the X-UP Builder license. If you agree to the X-UP Builder license, select [I Agree] to proceed to the next page.

  1. Select the folder where X-UP Builder will be installed. To change the installation folder, click the [Browse...] button to change the installation path.

  1. If all settings are correct, click the [Install] button to proceed with the installation.

  1. The below screen will be displayed when the installation is successful. Click the [Finish] button to complete the installation.

  1. Run X-UP Builder.

  2. Set up the workspace. The workspace location can be set as desired.

  1. This is the X-UP Builder screen.

Register the X-UP Builder license. Please refer to the license registration procedure below.

You can check the X-UP Builder and X-UP Builder Uninstall shortcuts at [Start > All Programs > TOBESOFT > X-UP Builder > 1.3.2].

Uninstall

This section describes the uninstall procedure for X-UP Builder.

  1. Click the X-UP Builder Uninstall shortcut.

  1. Click the [Uninstall] button to begin the uninstallation.

  1. The program and installation on the user's computer will be deleted.

License Registration

The X-UP Builder license registration procedure is as follows:

The following information must be entered in the license management fields:

Enter the project name and product key in the input fields after running X-UP Builder, and then click the [Validate] button to validate the license information. Once verification is completed, click the [OK] button.

This section is written under the assumption that the distributed build file is saved on the desktop.

  1. Run X-UP Builder. Select [Help > Install New Software...] from the top menu bar.

  1. Select [Add > Archive... > File Location > OK] from the install window to add the update file.

  1. Click the [Next] button to begin the installation. Click the [Next] button once more to proceed.

  1. Select the [I accept the terms of the license agreement] radio button, and then click the [Finish] button.

  1. If a security warning is displayed during the installation process, click the [OK] button.

  1. Click the [Restart Now] button after the update to restart X-UP Builder. Refresh all existing projects and complete the update process.

About X-UP Builder

Check the version and build date of the X-UP library currently being used in X-UP Builder.

  1. Select [Help > About X-UP Builder] from the top menu bar.

For example, "M20150102-1800" is January 2, 2015, 18:00.
